Nov 7, 2022. #7. My '17 CX-5 started doing the ghost touches in 2020. Recently became more frequent and it was changing various settings as well. Like other reports, it only does this dance when stopped, as the touchscreen is otherwise disabled when moving. I pulled the ribbon cable last night for the touch interface. 30 min start to finish.
I have a 2016 CX-5 GT. Hi all, I am having quite an issue with my infotainment screen and it has been determined that it is a hardware issue, I am past the manufacturers warranty now so the dealer quoted me around $2000 to replace it ($1700 something for the part then $114 + tax for install). I even called Mazda Canada hoping that they would
5. Scroll down and select an Android Auto compatible device. 6. Scroll down and select Touchscreen in Motion for All Devices. All devices connected to Android Auto can be controlled via the touchscreen while the vehicle is in motion with the box checked. "Touchscreen in Motion is only available on the 2022 Mazda Cx-50". -3.

I've plugged the phone in to the correct USB port but the setting remains grayed out. Update: I was trying the touch screen in Android Auto, not the Mazda interface which I now understand doesn't work ever (how annoying). Still can't get AA to work again though. Last edited: Jul 31, 2020.

Very questionable that Mazda made the expense of using these 7" and 8" touchscreens (more expensive than a non-touch screen) and not enabling the functionality. 3 years of CX-5 (2017-2020) all have touchscreens from the factory that you basically can't use. Terrible design there. I think it may be my biggest annoyance with the vehicle.

There must be a sensor that tells it when its in park. If you move the shifter from left to right real fast a couple of times, it will shut off when you push the button. 356 people found this helpful. My 2014 CX-5 is doing the same thing. First it was once in a while now it's constantly.
