Due to a HDMI fault with my HDR-FOX T2 I have acquired another one. I want to simply transfer the whole hard drive from the old one to the new one. Before removing the hard drive from the old T2, I decrypted all the HD recordings using the web interface of the custom firmware. I queued all the HD recordings for decryption and let it complete.
1 - Check and repair hard disk (fix-disk). 2 - Run short hard-disk self test. 3 - Run long hard-disk self test. 4 - Check self-test progress. epg - Clear persistent EPG data. x - Leave maintenance mode (Humax will restart). diag - Run a diagnostic. cli - System command line (advanced users). Please select option: 1.
Recordings made on an HD-FOX can be decrypted without temporarily forcing it to run HDR-FOX firmware and therefore becoming inoperable for other purposes; Users of HD-FOX and HDR-FOX previously unaware of the issues with decryption, who find their unit has failed and the recordings on the HDD are unplayable when exported, can now be helped to

The HDR-FOX uses an internal HDD for recording and media storage, and has additional capabilities over the HD-FOX. The obvious means to transfer data to and from an HDR-FOX is via the USB interface to external storage. The HDR-FOX provides two USB ports (one on the front panel, the other on the rear below the Ethernet port), so has far less

Humax have released firmware versions on new units that were not at the time, available for download, so they may get around to placing 1.02.32 for the 'HD' on their download site, but I can't see why it would take almost 2 Months, it could be that there is going to be a 1.02.33 released who knows

If the box is in recording sby say 15 mins before a scheduled recording it won't load the update. Check the stick after the flash (it's been a long time - pretty sure the file is renamed or deleted during the install. Try using a different browser - Chrome works OK for me with both my Foxsat-HDR and two HDR-Fox-t2's. G.
